Hi, my name is Sigursveinn. I was born in the small town of Tálknafjörður in the west of Iceland. Like most here, as I approached adulthood, I moved closer to the city lights of Reykjavik. City life does have its advantages, like access to an array of cultural entertainment. The music, theatre, and artwork around every corner capture the diversity of Iceland´s population.

However, as much as I enjoy the variety on offer, I occasionally yearn for the calm of the countryside. I will never forget my first flight as a student. As we took off from Reykjavík Airport, I realised the calmness and the freedom of flying. And there was no option of "turning back".  I didn't know how addictive flying is. First and foremost, the freedom. But also seeing the Icelandic landscape from a different angle, all those valleys and mountains with various colours changing every season or even every day.

  This is a site I have never grown tired of. Everyone should experience it at least once in their life, and over the years, I have had the privilege of flying many tourists and locals around this vast country.
